I recently got back from an incredible two weeks down in Florida’s beautiful panhandle. Honestly it was such a great trip, we’re already planning our next one (and I can’t wait!).
For two weeks, I spent time with family and friends. We swam in the Gulf, took sunset walks on the beach, explored new towns, and made many amazing memories. And while I (mostly) didn’t work while I was down there, I did get to capture sessions for two sweet families (stay tuned for more!).
Andrew is my first cousin; we’re actually just a couple months apart. Although, we grew up on opposite sides of the world, we’ve celebrated various holidays and family weddings together, enjoyed great family vacations, and spent incredible summers together in the Czech Republic and upstate New York.
He and his wife, Krista, actually met while the three of us were at school in NY together. Krista and I joke that we’re basically living parallel lives (same school, same jobs, same last name… the list goes on). Over the last decade, we’ve seen each other only a couple of times, so the opportunity to spend a few days together in Florida was an exciting prospect. And what a special time it was!
Thank you for a wonderful few days, Andrew and Krista! We’re looking forward to the next time we can spend time together. We love you guys!
I genuinely can’t say enough wonderful things about the 30A area. Beautiful and family friendly, it really is the perfect destination for young families.
For our trip, we stayed a few nights with Andrew & Krista in Panama City Beach before heading a few miles west to the little town of Santa Rosa Beach, just east of Seaside. We booked an Airbnb hosted by Southern Holiday Homes in the NatureWalk community, and it really was everything we could have wanted. Big gorgeous house, three pools, complimentary bikes and golf cart, and all just one mile from the beach.
If you’re looking for a great family vacation spot, I highly recommend visiting Florida’s panhandle (specifically the 30A area).
